After a few days in the Cotswolds and one in Bath, we headed off to Ireland.

Dublin (photos) was a whirlwind of pubs, tours, and general craziness – but not really with any particular set of good restaurants to recommend. We wandered around quite a ways and ended up generally settling for ethnic restaurants (Asian, Italian, and Mexican cuisine often offer lots of vegetarian choices, and can be made vegan easily).

Of course the real pilgrimage in Dublin was to the Guiness Storehouse:

Then we headed down to counties Kerry and Cork (photos).

In Kenmare, we had a wonderful dinner at Mulcahys. It’s not a vegan restaurant, or even a vegetarian one – but they had good options on the menu and are accustomed to accomodating special requests.

We also had wonderful pasta arribiatta at Prego, where the staff was kind enough to serve us outside despite the fact that most people thought it was too cold. 😉
