While in London (photos here) we had dinner at a local institution – Mildreds in Soho, a vegetarian restaurant for the last 17 years.
We knew right away dinner was going to be great – the lines waiting for tables were flowing well out into the street.

You can check out the menu on their site – they separately identify what is vegan (or can optionally be made vegan) as well as what does and doesn’t contain wheat. In addition to that standing menu they have lots of daily specials as well.
Unfortunately the table next to us spent most of dinner talking loudly about roast lamb – how to prepare, how much they enjoyed it, etc. Not exactly great dinner conversation for to be having loudly in a vegetarian restaurant. Makes me want to launch into a loud conversation about the horrors of factory farming next time I’m in a “mainstream” restaurant!
