Herbie Hancock, Future Shock, 1983 on Columbia.

Platinum selling LP, with Rockit on constant MTV rotation back in the day. When I heard it back then I had no context for Hancock’s history, Jazz, funk, electronics, emerging hip hop – i just knew I liked it.
