You don’t often find Leonard Cohen LPs in record stores as people tend to hold on to them to the end. Even if you haven’t had a turntable in years you’re reluctant to give these up.
Cohen is one of those artists I came to a bit later in life but feels like he’s always been there, so the history of releases is muddy – but this was his first solo full length album in 1967/1968. (Wikipedia says 1967, Discogs 1968). Already on his debut album to have Suzanne, Sisters of Mercy, and So Long, Marianne? Amazing.
My copy is a 70s Columbia repressing, based on the labels, via Beverly Coin & Jewelry in Beverly MA.
