I always loved Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark – the name, with it’s British spelling – and the music. This was their tenth full length album, released in 1996. In many ways this was the end of a dark era for OMD who had fallen out of fashion given grunge, britpop, and other ascendant styles – and would be their last record for over a decade. It’s Andy McCluskey without Paul Humphreys (though he gets writing credit on two tracks)
My copy (via Electric Fetus in Minneapolis) is a reissue from 2021, remastered and pressed at Optimal Media GmbH from lacquers cut at Abbey Road – sounds great.
