While the debut album was “Especially For You,” the track by that name is on this sophomore release, along with “Only A Memory” and “Drown In My Own Tears.”
Pat DiNizio’s songwriting and inimitable vocals made The Smithereens a key part of my 80s musical landscape. (He passed in 2017).

Tears for Fears, The Hurting, 1983 on Mercury.
This was actually one of my first CDs, and remains one of my top 20 of all time.

The US CD had the same cover as the UK vinyl but this is the original US vinyl cover

My copy is a Columbia Record club edition
A definite must-have for any vinyl collection

Lorde, The Love Club (Limited Edition), 2013 – unofficial release out of Holland by REALDJS
Not a great pressing (surface noise) but great songs.
Can’t wait to watch Lorde’s career evolve – so much great promise. I still hear Royals as such a fresh new approach

Trio, 1987 on Warner Bros. Emmylou Harris, Dolly Parton, and Linda Ronstadt.
This is one of those albums I was probably too “cool” for when it came out, but learned to appreciate later.
Note the paper cutout dolls on the original paper inner sleeve
