I’ve posted a number of Mary Gauthier records before – been following her career from the beginnings as she transitioned from chef/owner of Dixie Kitchen on Mass Ave by Berkeley to singer/songwriter at the Mews in Provincetown in the off-season.
The title track is a co-write with Beth Nielsen Chapman:
In an ocean black and deep, in the middle of the night / As I hold onto your love, like these lights from up above / I have drifted out so far, it’s dark enough to see the stars
This is her most recent full-length, and I got this copy directly from her at a gig at Fruitlands in Harvard, MA.
