The Romantics were a Detroit power-pop / new wave band formed in the late 70s: Wally Palmer, Rich Cole, Mike Skill, and Jimmy Marinos. “That’s What I Like About You” made a top 50 hit – surprising to me it wasn’t a bigger one as it seemed to be everywhere and still very popular.

Copyright date is 1979 but the record came out in the US in January of 1980 as if to signal the new wave decade. Look at all that red leather!
