A ton of great musicians here, including Chet Baker but also: Norman Faye, Conte Candoli, Frank Rosolino, Art Pepper, Bud Shank, Bill Perkins, Phil Urso, Bobby Timmons, James Bond, Lawrence Marable, Bob Burgess, Bob Graf, Fred Waters, Bill Hood, Bobby Timmons, Peter Littman, Jame McKean. Produced by Richard Bock, the “chieff panjandrum” of Pacific Jazz Enterprises. Three of the tracks feature an eleven-piece band, the rest a nine-piece.
My copy, via Worcester Record Riot, is a 1980s reissue from Spain (Emi-Odeon, S.A.). I don’t particularly search out European pressings, but a great way to get a near-mint copy of a 1957 release with a reproduction of the original artwork and liner notes.
