Arcade Fire, Reflektor, 2013 on Merge

Photo of a statue - album cover

Fourth studio LP from Montreal Quebec’s Arcade Fire: a double album put out in 2013 by Sonovox and Merge in the US. James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem produced along with the band and Markus Dravs.

I’ve also got the 12″ single claiming to be by The Reflektors, which has a full fake track list and replicates as its cover one of the inner sleeves from this album (or maybe its that this album replicates as an inner sleeve the cover of The Reflektors single?).

Inspired at least in part by a trip Win Butler and Régine Chassagne took to Haiti, which they worked with Markus Dravs on at Trident Castle in Jamaica before working with Murphy. They also recorded at Sonovox, Dockside, Breakglass, Golden Ratio, and Studio Pierre Marchand in Montreal.

My copy—via private sale—is a 2013 Rainbo pressing with a gatefold cover.
