This is the first album I ever heard featuring Björk Guðmundsdóttir, and it was the debut album for the Icelandic band, which became a college radio hit. I heard it via a friend who (like me) was bound that summer from Minneapolis to Boston to go to Boston University—obviously someone much cooler than me.

It’s still an amazing debut album with a clear singular talent – unmistakeable even in this first full-length.

While I’m sure I had it on CD back in the day, my vinyl copy—via the Record Exchange in Salem MA—is a Specialty pressing with the green cover (it came in many colors).
