Storyville was a Boston jazz institution in the 1940s, run by George Wein (the same that started the Newport Folk Festival and the Newport Jazz Festival ).

It started in the Copley Square Hotel but in 1950 moved to the first floor of the Buckminster Hotel in , which is now a Pizzeria Uno, then moved back.

This was recorded at the Copley Square Hotel location.

There’s a new Storyville now at 90 Exeter St but not sure how it is fairing through the pandemic
