Recorded live at the 7th St Entry on January 23rd, 1981 and released on vinyl as part of Record Store Day in April of 2022, this was also included (on CD) as part of the Sorry Ma, Forgot To Take Out The Trash box set.

Paul Westerberg, Chris Mars, Bob Stinson and Tommy Stinson in the early days, before the release of their debut album. Engineered by Paul Stark, co-founder of Twin/Tone, from a soundboard – great live set capturing their energy and talent. Excellent liner notes from Bob Mehr, the author of Trouble Boys: The True Story of the Replacements.

We’d just moved to suburban Minneapolis (Richfield) in about 1980, and I still think of the Replacements as hometown heroes – but I was nowhere near cool enough an 11 year old to be hanging out at the 7th St Entry at that point.

Picked up my copy at Academy Records in NYC.
