My copy (as you can see from the images) is an UpFront records reissue from the 70s, retitled as just Art Farmer. UpFront was a sublabel of Springboard International out of New Jersey, which reissued lots of compilation jazz and blues records from artists originally released on other labels (some are advertised on the rear cover below).
Springboard acquired parts of the Scepter Records catalog in 1974. Between that and the address in the rim text of the record label, this reissue probably came out between 1974 and 1976.
Farmer was a jazz trumpet and flugelhorn player who was part of the Gerry Mulligan Quartet, toured as part of Lionel Hampton’s orchestra and played with Sonny Rollins, Thelonious Monk, and many others.
This LP features Charles McPherson on alto sax, Tommy Flanagan on piano, Ron Carter / Steve Swallow on bass, and Bobby Thomas on drums.
