Debut album from Mazzy Star, fronted by Hope Sandoval and founded by David Roback (originally as Opal before changing singers). If you only know them from “Fade Into You” (which is a fantastic song, of course) it is worth going back to this debut album (as well as their third LP Among My Swan). This would have been originally released on Rough Trade, while their later albums were issued on Capitol.

Happy to see these records reissued as I don’t think I’ve ever seen a decent used copy : given lower vinyl production in the 90s these were do for a reissue. I’d love to see more deluxe / anniversary editions but these sound great.
